What is PEERS® ?
PEERS® was developed at UCLA by Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson, Director of the UCLA PEERS® Clinic and has been extensively researched and disseminated worldwide through translation, cross-cultural validation studies, and certified provider trainings.
It offers manualized, evidence-based social skills programming for youth and adults who are struggling socially. It is a good fit for children and adolescents with autism, ADHD, Anxiety, depression, and other social/ behavioral challenges. The program is aimed for anyone needing help with making friends, conversations, and social interactions. These skills are learned through training lessons and role-play demonstrations, activities, and homework, and they practice these skills during group socialization activities.
